The office of Career Advancement & Networking arranged for a special talk on careers in the media industry by Mr. Ashok Namboodiri, Executive Vice President and Business Head - Regional Sports Networks, Star Sports. Mr. Ashok Namboodiri is a business leader with in-depth understanding of leading and managing businesses in the Indian environment and a proven track record of consistent results across sectors. With almost three decades of experience in companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Coca-Cola, Tata Global Beverages and Britannia, he is a professional with demonstrated ability to manage both large complex businesses as well as scale up small businesses. He is also a certified film maker, prolific writer and occasional painter, and is passionate about training and mentoring young people. The session was a brilliant introduction to the behind-the-scenes business of media and the way a student should plan their careers if they wish to make inroads into the industry. With the business students of Alliance University having a great time in his session, the office of Career Advancement & Networking looks forward to host Mr. Namboodiri for more engaging sessions in the future.
