On the event of international Human Rights Day, Alliance University Legal Services Clinic (AULSC) and Constitutional and human rights centre, Alliance school, of law, Alliance University had organised a panel discussion to discuss on the “Dimension of Human rights in 21^st century”.

The event started with the welcoming of all the dignitaries to the dais by Dr, Vedashree A. Human rights pledge was administration by Dr. Punith Cariappa to all the students, faculties, and staff.

After the administration of pledge the panel discussion started.

The panel members were Dr. B S Reddy, Dr. Rajan Varghese, and Dr. Dunia Prince Zongwe. The panel was presided by Dr. Kiran D Gardner. Dr. Vedashree.A welcomed the gendering and the panel member. She briefed about the Human rights and constitution of India.

Dr. B S Reddy took the deliberations on constitution and right to education. He tried to address right to education or right to life in the arena of poverty across the world.

The other panellist Dr. Rajan Varghese threw light on the rights of the labour or employees and role played by Supreme court of India in giving new dimensions to the labour rights in many cases such as Muttamma V/s union of India.

The last panellist Dr. Dunia Prince Zongwe compared about the human rights in African countries. Dr. Prince highlighted on Discrimination, definition, types, factors driving discrimination etc.

He also emphasised on social media and its role in protecting Human rights.
