“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”

Justice D’Cunha was invited for the inaugural ceremony for the Alliance Judicial training Academy on the auspicious occasion he visited our clinic that is Alliance University Legal Services Clinic which was cordial of him to do so. Justice D’Cunha has disposed of 216 cases, arising from the special court set up to deal with criminal cases against MP’s and MLAs in Karnataka, and being judge of the special court for Jayalalithaa case in which he convicted and sentenced former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa, her aide Sasikala Natrajan and two others, for their involvement in the disproportionate assets of case. He served as secretary to the chief Justice and Registrar of the High Court. On 11^th November 2016, Justice Cunha was appointed as a Judge of the Karnataka High Court. He retired from Karnataka High Court on 6^th April 2021.

He interacted with members of the Legal Services Clinic. The members were profound by the interactions. His presence was embraced by the members and faculty present on 9^th April 2022. His interactions proved to be knowledgeable for all the members. He even took out precious time to write a short note on the clinic. The day is embarked for the clinic by the presence of Justice D’ Cunha.
