Prof. Dr. Pia A. Albinsson (MBA, PhD, New Mexico State University) is the WCOB Dean's Club Professor of Marketing in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University where she has been since 2009. Her research interests are in the areas of collaborative consumption, green consumption practices, consumer activism, corporate social responsibility, advertising rhetoric, and advertising effectiveness.

She has over 27 articles published in journals such as Consumption, Marketing and Culture, Journal of Services Quarterly, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Journal of Consumer Marketing, European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Retailing and Distribution Management, International Wine Business Research Journal, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Psychology and Marketing, Global Journal of Business Research, and Advances in Consumer Research, among others. She has also presented her research at national and international conferences such as Academy of Marketing Science, American Academy of Advertising, American Marketing Association, Association for Consumer Research, Consumer Culture Theory, Eastern Management Association, National Business and Economics Society, Society for Consumer Psychology, Society for Marketing Advances, Southwest Texas Popular/American Culture Association and Transformative Consumer Research. She has been an invited speaker at Brunel University, London, UK and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.

Dr. Albinsson serves on the Editorial Review Board for Journal of Consumer Marketing and regularly serves as ad hoc reviewer for European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Business and Society, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Marketing Education Review, Marketing Theory, and many international, national and regional conference proceedings. In addition, Pia also served as Secretary for Society for Marketing Advances 2015-2018, program chair and president-elect 2018-2019 and president 2019-2020, she was co-program chair for the 2020 Academy of Marketing Science Conference.

Dr. Albinsson teaches Marketing Research and Integrated Marketing Communications. Prior to academia, Dr. Albinsson spent several years working in the tourism industry in Greece, Malaysia and Portugal as well as with banking and marketing in her native Stockholm, Sweden.

Prof. Dr. Markus Launer (Ph.D., Tallinn University of Technology) is Professor for general business administration and service management in the Faculty of Commerce and Social Work at the Ostfalia University (Suderburg Campus, Germany). He is also a freelance business consultant and managing director of the Institute for Non-Profit Services gGmbH. Privately, he runs his own e-learning platform for further training, intercultural integration and further training for the socially disadvantaged (social e-learning). His current research interests are in digital trust at the workplace as well as decision-making under uncertainty. He along with his associates are using cross-national Survey Research to add a global perspective on trust in business interactions. His research also involves digitization, service 4.0, eLearning, intuitive business administration, international and intercultural management. He has numerous books, book chapters, articles and conference papers to his credit.

Dr. Frithiof Svenson is a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences, University of Bremen and M.A. in International Relations, Jacobs University (Germany). He is a Senior Researcher, Faculty of Trade and Social Work, Ostfalia University (Germany) of Applied Sciences and Coordinator Studies and Teaching, Department of Business, Economics & Law, Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. He has published in Journal of Marketing Management, Ephemera – Theory & Politics in Organization, Journal of Competences and Strategy & Management. His research interests lie in the field of organization studies (competences, strategy and management) as well as culture, markets and inclusion. His last project investigated sustainability marketing and consumer collectives in the sphere of information and communication technology (ICT). He is currently working on a cross-continental project on Digital Trust at Workplace and Rationality, Heuristic, Intuition & Anticipation (RHIA).

Dr. Lee Edwards is Associate Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She teaches and researches strategic communication from a critical perspective, with a focus on how power circulates in and through strategic communications work, including in the field of copyright policy. She is the author of numerous articles, books and book chapters, publishing theoretical interventions and empirical studies in many of the leading journals in the field of communication scholarship.

Dr. Alexandra Ganglmair Wooliscroft is a Senior Lecturer in the Business School, Massey University Auckland, New Zealand, Associate Editor of the Journal of Macromarketing and Vice President Conferences of Macromarketing Society. Her research focuses on consumption – particularly sustainable consumption - well-being and quality of life. Alexandra’s research has appeared, amongst others, in the Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Happiness Studies, and the Journal of Sustainable Tourism.

Prof. Dr. Ben Wooliscroft is the Associate Dean Research in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law at Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. He is the world's first professor of macromarketing, the President of the Macromarketing Society Inc. and and Associate Editor of the Journal of Macromarketing. His research focuses on the interactions between markets, marketing and society, with particular emphasis on quality of life, marketing theory and transitions to sustainable consumption in its widest sense. It has appeared in journals including; the Journal of Macromarketing, Marketing Theory, the Journal of Business Research, Happiness Studies and Applied Quality of Life Studies.

Prof. Dr. Gulnur Tumbat is a Professor of Marketing at Lam Family College of Business, San Francisco College of Business, USA. Her main research interests are at the intersections of risk discourses, consumer culture, marketplace dynamics, and technology, where she uses interpretive research tools. She published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Theory, Consumption, Markets and Culture, Journal of Consumer Behavior, Advances in Consumer Research, European Advances in Consumer Research, and Handbook of Research on Digital Media and Advertising: User Generated Content Consumption. Gulnur Tumbat is also an avid endurance athlete and a mountaineer who has climbed six of the Seven Summits (highest on each continent) of the world. On May 21, 2018, she became the first Turkish woman to summit Mount Everest from the Nepal side.

Dr. Laurel Steinfield (DPhil, University of Oxford) is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Bentley University. Her research focuses on social stratifications, including gender, racial, and global North-South hierarchies. As a sociologist, transformative consumer researcher and marketing professor, she studies how social stratifications interact with marketplace dynamics and how resulting injustices may be transformed through public or private-enterprise interventions, social innovations, and/or entrepreneurial endeavors. She has published in numerous journals including the Journal of Product Innovation Management, the Journal of Business Research, Consumption, Markets & Culture, the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, as well as in various edited books. She is on the advisory board of GENMAC (Gender and Marketing) and Transformative Consumer Research, and works with organizations in the public and private sector in their empowerment endeavors.
