Dr. Kubendran holds a doctoral degree from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He also holds an M.Phil degree in Economics from Pondicherry University. He has also qualified the National Eligibility Test for Lectureship in Economics (UGC-NET). Dr. Kubendran has nine years of teaching experience from renowned technological institutes, Business School and Law School. The Institutes are BITS-PILANI, XIME and Alliance School of Law. His areas of research mainly focuses on the issues in macroeconomics, international trade policies, balance of payments and related government policies in India.

He has published many articles in recognized international and national journals, such as the Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation, Asian Economic Review, Global Business Review, Journal of International Economics, and the International Journal of South Asian Studies.
