Prof. Mani Aiyar has over 25 years of work experience in industry, academics, and teaching & research. He has also got more than 10 years of international experience, from working in companies based in the USA, Singapore and Malaysia. He has wide ranging  experience in Product Design, Engineering, Project Management, and Relationship Management & Delivery Management for International Customers, in the domain areas of Multimedia, Wireless, and Wire-line Communications. He was part of Chip Design and product tape-out teams for several Wireless & Multimedia products teams based on LTE, Wi-Max, Wi-Fi, MPEG4, H.264 including LTE, Wi-Max (802.16d/e), Wi-Fi (802.11a/g/n), MPEG4/H.264 and GPRS/EDGE, Video Camera & Digital Camera Chipset, ADSL / VDSL Chipsets, Crypto-Engine Chipset & Diesel Engine Chipset for various companies. He has also worked in a Semiconductor Manufacturing Foundry, in Malaysia and has taped-out several chipsets in the wireless domain including Wi-Max and LTE.

He has designed and demonstrated projects at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) & Radio Astronomy Centre (RAC). He has also consulted and successfully delivered projects for several multinational companies like Broadcom, Qualcomm, Motorola, Cisco, Brocade, Texas Instruments, Freescale, Conexant, Indigo Vision, MIMOS, and Cummins. He is currently specializing in the areas of Digital Chip Design, VLSI, SOC, ASIC, FPGA, Digital Signal Processing DSP, Internet of Things, Wearable Technology, Embedded Systems, Wireless & Multimedia Communications. He has over 30 publications in international and national journals and conferences. He has completed his Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with specialization in VLSI, Multimedia & Wireless Communications, from California State University (San Jose State University), San Jose, California, USA, MBA from University of Mysore and his Bachelors in Electronics & Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He is currently working as a Professor and Head of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department in Alliance University, Bangalore, India.
